The House investigative committee has made public a batch of approximately 70 photos from the estate of former convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This constitutes the third release from a larger collection of over 95,000 images the body has secured from Epstein's estate. It features pictures of passages from the novel Lolita inscribed across a female's body, and redacted pictures of female foreign passports.

This disclosure occurs hours before the 19th of December cut-off for the DOJ to make public each records related to its probe into Epstein.

"These images bring up further queries about precisely what the Department of Justice has in its holdings," said the ranking member of the panel, Robert Garcia.

What is in the Photos Made Public

A number of the images released on this week show Epstein speaking with professor and activist Noam Chomsky inside a private jet; Bill Gates seen beside a individual whose features is censored; Steve Bannon sitting at a table opposite Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner gathering.

These are the latest high-net-worth, powerful individuals to be pictured in Epstein property images released by the committee - previously disclosed pictures also depict US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as film director Woody Allen, previous US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, attorney Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and others.

Showing up in the images is does not constitute proof of any wrongdoing, and several of the pictured figures have asserted they were not participating in Epstein's unlawful actions.

In a announcement accompanying the photo publication, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee stated the Epstein estate's representatives did not offer context or timeframes for the photographs.

"Images were chosen to furnish the general populace with openness into a illustrative selection of the photos obtained from the property, and to provide insights into Epstein's circle and his exceptionally disturbing activities," the statement states.

The publication also includes multiple photographs of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov literary work Lolita written in black ink across different parts of a woman's body, such as her upper body, foot, pelvis, and rear. Lolita recounts the account of a adolescent who was groomed by a older literature professor.

A particular quote from the book written across a woman's chest states, "Lolita: the end of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the roof of the mouth to alight, at three, on the teeth".

Additionally, there are a number of images of female identification and ID papers from countries worldwide, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A large portion of the data on the papers, like names and dates of birth, is obscured but the panel stated in a statement that the passports pertain to "females whom Jeffrey Epstein and his conspirators were involved with".

A further photograph features Epstein positioned at a workstation closely in the company of three female figures whose features have been obscured - a first has her hand on Epstein's upper body under his shirt, and another is leaning to look at a adjacent computer. Epstein can be seen to be assisting the final person put on a piece of jewelry.

Another photograph made public is a capture of SMS messages from an unknown individual who says they have been supplied "a number of girls" and are requesting "$one thousand dollars for each individual".

Photo Publication Comes Prior to DOJ Due Date

The body has a vast number of photos in its possession from the Epstein holdings, which are "at once explicit and mundane," its announcement on recently noted.

The House Oversight Committee first issued a subpoena to the holdings of Epstein, who passed away in a New York correctional facility in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on charges of sex trafficking, in August.

The images and documents the Epstein estate's representatives provided to the body are separate from what is often called "Epstein-related records". Those are papers in the justice department's possession associated with its independent inquiry into Epstein.

Pursuant to the Transparency Act, which Donald Trump made law in November, the DOJ has a deadline of 19 December to release its records. The extent of the contents contained in the DOJ's documents is not publicly known, and it's likely that a large amount of the material will be heavily censored, comparable to Congressional releases
